The NTP synchronization frequency can be modified. As a previous poster
indicated, the default for XP is 1 week = 604800 seconds.
If you're comfortable whacking your registry, change:
SpecialPollInterval
Registry path
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\TimeProviders\N
tpClient
When changing the value use DECIMAL to enter the seconds you want and not
HEX unless you are a total geek. Change the 604800 value.
3600 = every hour , 21600 = every 6 hours etc.
