Re: KLM 2m-14c relay

 Hi Kyle & Group,

have you checked if the problem is not from Coaxial-relay but ie from a
faulty (cut, failed) "phase-stub", matching-stub, coaxial's piece,
bad-connector etc. between relay and antenna?

Please, reverse the connectors in the output of relay... if the noise
increasing again when powering the relay, definitely the relay has problem.

The Coaxial relays can be repaired. Usually they have a "tap"(spile), so by
removing this tap the "inside world" is viewed, close to internal contacts.
Some other models, they have a construction method like a "sandwich", so is
also possible
to separate carefully the opposite metal plates.

Take a look inside for "dirty" contacts... in case you have dirty-contacts,
a contact-cleaner spray will do the job perfect.

But if you have destroyed contacts, ie from high power, the relay is for...
garbages!

Another possibility is the coil... are you sure if the common-contact is
moving when powering the relay? Check the '"good contactivity" between CC
(Common Connector), NC (Normal Close) and NO (Normal Open) connectors by
using an Ohm-meter or a "short-circuit" tester. (CC and NO by powering the
relay, of course !)

Finally, If the coil is dead, is possible to re-winding (if your relay is
good enough and expensive).

Hope that helps you. Good luck.

73, Mak SV1BSX
