I use and recommend the SSB Electronics SP-2000 and SP-7000 GaAs FET
preamps. They switch RF without an external sequencer (200W on 2m, 100W
on 70cm). A high-Q helical bandpass filter reduces the chance of
overload from your own transmit signal or other strong RF sources. The
enclosure is weatherproof, well-shielded, and designed for mast
mounting. They are expensive because they are made in Germany.
