Actually, that's kinda what I was talking about.
Having some one with a big station help with
the flow. I called them "net-controls" and the
sign-up list was so that they could coordinate
if they wanted to set up for a special event
or something in advance... Bobb

Having tried to work LEO's in the past, I beleive that the concept of a
"net control" will just add more congestion and confusion. These passes
are quick.
Why not just set a protocal where portable units ID themselves as such
and are given "right of way" much like a sailboat vs a motorized (base
or mobile station) vessel. Let the portable unit CQ or call, and then a
base or more powerful mobile unit can finish the QSO with him.

Hi all,
Just a note to those that use the LEO's. Last night I heard a "portable
station" trying to get into AO-51 and I called several times only for
his return to be swamped by much stronger stations. Let's give a little
courtesy to the Low power portable guys trying to enjoy the sats too!
And. . . you wonder why the net control idea wouldn't work??? Give a
listen. Hearing is believing!!
Thanks & 73,
Dee, NB2F
