Re: Nova vs. SatPC32 orbit numbers



Hello Dan,
SatPC32 takes the orbit numbers from the Keps file. It  updates the orbit 
number at MA 0. Other programs update it at equator crossing. That may cause 
the difference. Also, using different Keps files may cause different orbit 
numbers.

With LEO satellites the orbit number is of minor importance, I think. With
HEOs the orbit number and MA value are more important. When AO-40 was
operational the program showed the same orbit number and updated it at the
same time with the AO-40 telemetry.
