RE: Noises on 435.215 ?

Folks

A real shot in the dark, thinking out loud. If it is Mobitex then it's 9600
GMSK. Adding two and two together and probably making five, didn't one of
the recently released satellites (NCUBE-2) use a CMX589a chip that pops out
GMSK a la mobitex?

The downsides: The NCUBE2 downlink should be 437.305 though - but if it uses
a frequency agile exciter that may account for that. The 21:47 LOS Dave
G1OCN gives in the UK would make it about 40 mins ahead of SSETI Express -
way to far ahead according to the recent reports of slowly moving object
(0.35 mins ahead at only 0.58 meters/sec delta v).

Sounds like a data mode called Mobitix or similar I used to decode years
ago.
The description of sounding like a truck engine activated a brain cell.
(Just one!)
Let us know if you id. it.

 Paul.
