As the instigator of the technically incorrect "X" reference let me offer my
apologies to those misled, bemused or offended by its use as short hand for
"Cross"

I was purely being lazy with the typing; let me assure you all I fully
appreciate the more significant meaning of the character in relation to this
site.

However perhaps an X-Band beacon on the ISS would be good as a future
experiment?  Something reliable to test receiver set-ups on a predictable
basis.
