Re: Features in FT-847 replacement, wish list

But it's a real fiddle. I had the FT-847 here for a while and liked it a lot
as a VHF/UHF radio, the only let-down being some CAT control support. Based
on CAT control alone I would rate the TS-2000 as best and IC-910H as worst.

I have decided not to buy the TS-2000/FT-847/IC-910H, rather use separates
with synchronised instances of my own software. My current logic is that for
UHF/VHF something like the IC-7000 is more than adequate for sending and FM
receive, if duplex (CW/SSB) with a cracking receiver is desired then my
IC-7800 with an Elecraft transverter.

For 23/13 cms I will wait until P3E makes it up there, I have a good (and
sadly expensive) solution in mind.
