I beg to differ..
Its not an American thing, its a pain in the rear thing, I have bought
from outside the US
and sold outside the US, longer transit times, more expense, and sometimes
the really
annoying "Oh please dont put what I really paid for it on the customs form
... write junk parts $1"
from a buyer.
So I can completely understand why someone might not want to sell or buy
from
outside the US.
