RE: TH-D7A(G) vs W32-A for Easy Sats?

Jeff, I noticed that Kenwood lists their spec at .18uv _or less_. It would seem the devil is in the details. Icom lists the w32a as .16uv. Both specs are for 12db SINAD.

I don't own either rig (I drive a FT-530 on FM sats while portable) but I noticed while helping a new ham at the hamfest last weekend the D7 is only about 30$ more than the W32a.

Also, pertaining to an earlier comment, the Arrow can be purchased with either a SMA or BNC on the diplexer.

I don't make subjective statements so here's the results from the ARRL test

FM sensitivity UHF. 12 db SINAD 0.14 uV

FM sensitivity UHF. 12 db SINAD 0.15 uV

No surprise here, as Icom has a reputation of exaggerating performance
parameters. look at the vague claims for the 7800's dynamic range narrow
spaced spec vs the reported value at Sherwood. The complete report can be
found at the ARRL's members only equipment test results...Dynamic Range
Narrow Spaced
