Re: Wisp And KCT

Hello David,
Wisp32 can not steer the KCT/T under Windows XP (NT4, Win2000) directly,
because the hardware driver RR.dll that comes with Wisp32 does not work on
NT-based Windows32 platforms. For direct hardware access under these Windows
versions a kernel driver is required.

You may try my program DDESat32 12.4 for rotor and radio steering
with Wisp32 and the KCT (radio steering alternatively via a COM port) under
Windows XP. DDESat32 can be downloaded for free from my website. Via DDE
the program takes the rotor positions and radio frequencies and modes from
GSC and outputs them to the hardware. In the GSC rotator setup menu
therefore the option DDE must be activated. Some OMs use this combination
to run Wisp32
with the KCT under Win2000. If you have a XP PC with ISA slot this
configuration should work.

DDESat32 evaluates some of the SatPC32 aux. files and takes the rotor and
CAT settings from SatPC32. Therefore SatPC32 must be installed on the PC,
but the demo version is sufficient.
