I concur.  I just recently upgraded to Extra from no-code tech.  I've made 
4? HF contacts at my home qth and over 100 in my car simply because that's 
where I have the time to play on the radio.

Just an off the handle question.....

Would the Icom D-STAR system be a good space based system?  Too much 
doppler?  What's the acceptable BER for that system?
