Hi Emily,
As a developer of software I would really like all satellite TX/RX
information (not Kepler data) to be machine readable, preferably in a CSV
text file. The information I am after is beacons, frequencies, modes etc. -
all I need to feed software and set up someone's radio when they switch
satellites. As there are so few Ham satellites it will probably be easier to
create this simple file myself, but please bear this suggestion in mind.
When I done I can offer a user options from a menu, for example 'LO-19 CW
Beacon' or 'AO-51 70cms FM downlink'. Similarly I can program up linear
transponder information.
The easier I can make my software, the more chance we have of increasing
interest in satellites.
The information you will hopefully have is for satellites which can switch
mode - for example POSAT. SO if your computer generates this data on a
regular basis it will be a big help.
Cheers,
Simon Brown
