(This is 1200 baud)
It worked right this morning at 6:30 a.m. local in Iowa. I got one packet on
a 6 degree pass on my j-pole and it was igated to the page just fine. I'm
surrounded by lots of vegetation, so a 6 degree pass is not good. There is
one at 8 or so, and it is quite high, so I should gate more packets then.
I did put my 847 with 8 el 70cm quad on the freq and copied quite a few more
bursts. I have wired the 847 audio to another tnc that is feeding a terminal
program. I have elevated the antenna 66 degrees for the center of the pass,
and I'll see what I get on that one as well.
In any case, things are working. No doppler correction at this point. When I
get a chance to play, I'll put SatPC32 on for the 847 and do doppler
correction on the 847...still not auto az/el, so not much I can do as far as
aiming when I'm not at home.
Off to the salt mine.
73,
...hasan, N0AN
