Re: patch antennas for AO-51



I haven't used a commercial one, but have seen it done by K0CEH at Dayton. I think Barry, WD4ASW has used one also. If I had to speculate, I'd say go with the 4 patch array type, and be mindful of polarization. As always, no coax between the antenna and the downconverter is best. Should be just fine as far as gain though.
