Hi Graham,
 There used to be an IRLP node in McMurdo Station, but it appears to have
been disconnected or dismantled.
 There is now an IRLP node listed as KC4AAC in Palmer Station, Antarctica,
and is managed by K1IED. The IRLP link was last used just an hour ago, so
appears to be active. IRLP node number 8838.
 So, you might try dropping an email to K1IED, or if you are within reach of
an IRLP-enabled repeater or link radio, you could open a link and inquire
directly with people in Palmer Station.
