Re: FT-847 Computer Control

Hello Simon,
with the FT-847 (and FT-736R) frequencies and modes can be changed via
CAT during TX when the radios are in SAT mode. The semi-duplex radios
FT-817/857/897 are no "satellite" radios and frequencies and modes cannot be
changed while the radio is in TX.

The TS-2000 (and TS-790 A/E) provides also full frequency and mode control
via CAT during TX when the radio is in SATL mode.
Only the very first TS-2000 radios didn't allow frequency tuning during TX
in SATL mode. But Kenwood changed that with the first firmware update in
2002.
