Alternative to 144 MHz IF would be to re-crystal to 7.680000 MHz. The 
crystal is available from Mouser, P/N for reduced case size is 
520-HCU768-20. 10 piece price is 41 cents each.
IF at 2.4 GHz will be 433.92 MHz.
