Drew, I think one of the mission objects is to establish Galileo
frequencies, but the thought certainly came to my mind as to monitoring and may be even
listening if ESA was willing?
Always nice to have additional listeners around the world willing to help
them monitor the satellite and forward tlm data back home. An amateur frequency
would be even better but their mission first.

Two experimental satellites are being developed for the Galileo System Test
Bed Ò Version 2, which will make up the first phase of in the 'in-orbit
validation' of the Galileo system. Both spacecraft are now approximately six
months away from launch.
