Alpha Head Update #4 - Sat ops as well as H.F.

A hardy bunch of Dorset residents will, providing the
forecast remains the same, be getting wet feet in an
attempt to activate ENG 256 SY705 763 DOR, 
and, if there are no objections from the aficionados, 
A0320 SY695 771 DOR.

It is believed that this event is the first time amateur radio
transmissions will have taken place from these locations.

These God fearing lovers of amateur radio will be attempting
this once in a life time opportunity this coming Saturday, the 
11th June.

Guestimated start time is 1030 local.
Operations are expected to continue till the generator runs
out of petrol.

2 x H.F. stations will be operational as per the WAB event
on the 16th March 2005 for SY87 DOR.
(It's the same two mad fellers once again.)

It is also anticipated the some FM satelleite operation will
take place if there are any suitable passes during our brief
stay on the breakwater.
Equipment in use will be a Kenwood THD7G and an

H.F. frequencies used will be as close to WAB QRG as possible.
