Dayton Hamvention AMSAT Activities

Hi All,

Just a reminder that Hamvention is only a few days away. Contact Barry
WD4ASW
WD4ASW@AMSAT.ORG if you are interested in working at the AMSAT booth
during the show.

All hams interested in amateur radio satellites are invited to the 4th
Annual Pizza n' Suds on Thursday evening, May 19th. If you are not a member
of AMSAT yet, this is an excellent opportunity to meet some of the members
of AMSAT. The event is open to all hams interested in amateur radio
satellites. There are still plenty of spaces available for anyone who
wishes to attend this event. Reservations can be made through Dave Misek,
N8NPX at N8NPX@AMSAT.ORG.

There are still a few spaces left for the AMSAT banquet on Friday night.
Special guest speaker at the banquet will be Dr. Tony England, W0ORE. Tony
was the
second person to operate amateur radio from the space shuttle. Full details
on both events can be found at www.AMSAT.ORG. Reservations are required for
the banquet and seating is strictly limited to 85 people. Reservations for
the banquet can be made by contacting Nancy Makley at KC8GYW@AMSAT.ORG.
Reservations are going fast!!!!!

While you are at Hamvention stop by the AMSAT booth and say hello to the
AMSAT officers and board members who are there. This is an excellent
opportunity to meet the officers of AMSAT. New items for Hamvention include
the new AMSAT golf shirts, 2005 laminated satellite frequency guide and
Gould Smiths's
newly revised book on AO-51.
