Hi, All
Please do not use FM on a linear transponder for the simple reason that
a FM user will occupy half of the passband of HAMSAT and will waste
a lot of power from the batteries.
In addition and more important a discriminator of a FM receiver cannot
detect if a CW or SSB weak signal is operating or not in the passband
but on the other side a CW or SSB signal will be strongly interfered by
the FM carrier+deviation.
This is why AMSAT and IARU recommends do not use FM in linear
transponders.
