HI again Ernie and others, 
Actually you don't even have to exchange grids  for it to be a good 
QSO.  But you do have to exchange SOMETHING.   On  H.F.  it's usually
a signal report.  Some folks are hung up on the grid thing.  But it's not
necessary, 
and for a long time not too many folks were putting their grid on the QSL
card. 
So you'd have to look it up and write it on the back in pencil.  I
suppose
that rule still applies.
