Les,
Make sure you have sufficient swap space allocated and plenty of room on
the hard drive. My Nova runs on a 700mhz Celeron with 512meg memory and
100ms updates tracking 11 sats at a constant 4% cpu usage. When that
machine got low on disk space the problem you described appeared.
