Meet Dr. Tony England and have your Hamvention® program or your ARRL
Passport autographed! In 1985, Tony got his chance to go into space onboard
the Challenger space shuttle. On his eight-day mission, he was a NASA
Mission Specialist, responsible for conducting many of the experiments in
the onboard laboratory. The mission included a ham radio payload called
SAREX, the Shuttle Amateur Radio Experiment. He is the second astronaut ever
to use ham radio in space!
