Re: IC-910H & TNC2H/TNC3S/DSP2232

G'day Ger,

You will find the cable info in Buxcomm under:
TNC to Radio Packet Interface Cables, select AEA, search with "910H" or
'K7EG",
and you will find:
" This cable interfaces the AEA DSP-2232 Radio Port 1 (standard DIN 5 pin
male plug end) with the two 6 pin Mini DIN data ports on the Icom IC-910H
(Main & Sub-Band data ports) - the two 6 pin Mini DIN male plug ends.
This enables RX data on radio downlink "M" port and TX on uplink "S" port
for satellite operations.

ORDER K7EG $27.97 "

K7EG delivers the schematic diagram.
Indeed you can make the cable by yourself but you have to buy 2xDin6pin mini
connectors plus
1xDin5pin connector and cables and soldering it in the right way on miniDin
connectors,not evident.
Think $27.97 + shipment is a reasonable price.
Will keep in mind your recommendations upgrading the IC-910H,tnx Ger !!!

Hi Willy:
What is the model number of the cable you purchased from www.buxcomm.com
for your IC-910H.
FYI: You might try installing the .5ppm TXCO crystal oven option for the
910H. Along with the 500KHZ IF filters, these mods make the 910H a
pleasure to operate. I'm slowly gearing up for EME by getting the hang
of satellites and using the digital modes as well as studying digital
reception ( via WSJT ).
Thanks for the info and all the best,
Ger

Hello Sat-freaks,

Blown-up my good old FT-736r,2-meter section,in service since 1985 until
now. Buying the IC-910H. After one month searching how to connect it to
the tnc, found several articles in the amsat-bb how to do and found the
solution.. In the Dutch manual I found nothing about connection in
sat-mode, not even the cryptic clue in the English manual on page 50.
Yes Main data go to Sub-connector and Sub data to Main-connector in
SAT-mode. I found at www.buxcomm.com the right cable to connect the
IC-910H and TNC2H & TNC3S.Price $28.00 It's the same cable for the AEA
DSP2232 to connect the IC-910H. And after one month everything works
fine now and tested with AO-51 & GO-32 Could use now the ACC1 connector
for 1k2 terresterial-aprs/packet.
