Check back in the 100 day archives....we went through this a few months ago, with interesting results. Check the specs carefully, and the most important thing is true full duplex. Check this spec very carefully!!!!!!
I use an FT-470 Yaesu (2 in fact) and am very happy with it. About $75-100 used. A very popular current production radio is the Icom IC-W32A.

I'm in the market for a VHF/UHF handheld to use on AO51 etc and I was wondering
what gear you guys n gals are using ?
I'd be interested to here pros and cons for various handhelds specifically for
working the easy sats.
