Thanks,

Any recommendations from those that currently work AO-51 in L mode?

Stefan

I would very much appreciate some recommendations for a 23cm uplink
antenna
for satellite operation.

Check out the helix antenna in the satellite section
of any recent ARRL Handbook. The revision published
in the last 2 years (with the element supported on
posts instead of axial rods) has better circularity
and is less effected by weather. Easy to build.

The article also shows a 10W amp, which was OK
for CW on AO40, but generally too weak for SSB.
