RE: DX question, CY9?. others?

Hi Steve,

Understood with respect to the distance. My plan/idea is not to go there myself (I wish!) but to volunteer equipment and training to existing planned dxpeditions to this and other locations within LEO reach. The equipment load and required proficiency makes a jump there between the FMs and the SSB LEOs, but if possible I'd sure like to see them included.

It's important to remember at this point it is all conjecture. I haven't made contact with anyone going there yet, although I have a candidate in mind. I had such a good experience prepping KG4SB for his trip I can't help but want to do it again.

PS
KG4SB emailed me some pictures this weekend of his operations in Gitmo. It seems the hamshack has a terrible horizon to the west, and to overcome this Jose scaled the 50' tribander tower, and used the extra height to work as far west as California and Montana. I'll try to get pictures posted somewhere.

Drew,
Working CY9 from the Northwest (where I live) will be very difficult on
the FM satellites. If you do activate it, I hope you'll be able to operate
on FO29 and AO7 where the West coast stations will have a chance.

Hi Guys...
Excuse me if this is more directed to North American stations....

How many of you guys have CY9 on satellite?

Any other suggestions for a "most needed" sort of list in LEO range from at
least part of the mainland US?
