The IC-970 with the UX-97 option covers from1240 MHz. to 1300 MHz., in SSB, CW
& FM modes.

Been reading of this topic. I wonder if anyone had thought to look at what
the frequencies these radios operate. Do they cover the frequencies for
AO-51? Many 1.2 GHz all-mode radios cover 1296-1300; FM rigs cover
1294-1296. Be sure that that radio will operate on the sat-band.
