RE: 847 vs 910

Les,
I've used the IC-910H for satellite operations for several years now and am
very satisfied.
I've used it on AO-40 and all the available LEO sat's running SSB, CW, FM,
and some digital modes.
I have used the FT-847 a little but don't know much about it so I won't
attempt a comparison, but my general impression is that the 847 is a more
'General Purpose' rig and the 910 is more Satellite specific.
If you do decide on the 910 I recommend you get the DSP unit as well.

Which do most hams prefer, the Ft-847 or the Icom 910 for satellites?
