Tiros-N still transmitting

Hi gang,
Weather satellite TIROS-N launched in 1978 was reported recently as
transmitting CW on either 137.500 or 136.77.
I found it on 137.500 MHz +/- Doppler. Just a steady carrier on the three
occasions I have listened.
Keps. below are OK as of today December 13th.

TIROS -N was the prototype for the present generation of NOAA Polar Orbiters
Thanks to the latest and excellent GEO magazine for the report.

If you don't know GEO (Group for Earth Observation) their web site
www.geo-web.org is well worth a visit.

Seasons greetings.
