Hi Keith and All

You can go to PacComm www.paccomm.com and look at the Spirit tnc. You can 
put 2 modems in it and it comes with 9k6 out of the box.
They work VERY well on the birds. I've been using them for a very long time 
with packet. Linda has plug in modems for them so you can set the speed to 
whatever you want or need. Just remember that when you go over 9k6 you must 
mod the radio for the faster speed or it won't work right if at all.!!
