RE: AMSAT Journal - Meisse Reply -
Gunther,
Very timely topic on the bb as I received my journal today and read the
survey. Much more thorough than I had expected and hopefully will guide
the board in future decisions (which was the purpose of the survey, was it
not?).
I read all the comments on the bb previously asking for a report and now
this is satisfied. I did not happen to be surveyed and so understand that
many might like to see the original questionaire to compare with your
charts. I wonder if this was presented at the Symposium? I can see the
"naysayers" will be out like halloweeners now, but in any survey and
analysis there is room for individual interpretation. Thanks for sharing
it with the membership.
Winter has decended on Alaska with +4F temps and currently snowing. I got
most of my antenna work done just in time. Now to get it all working
inside :-) Then its sitting inside, warm and dry, operating! I look
eagerly to the next HEO bird but will enjoy what we have now in the
meantime. My 2m-eme array is re-built on a new tower base with the
addition of my M2 x-yagi will be available for modes U/V or V/U. The
roof-top tripod contains smaller antennas for V, U, L, and S.
