Everyone,

I will be happy to publish articles on the subjects Hank mentions below and
anything else relevant to AMSAT. However, I do not have any articles on those
subjects! Someone needs to write them. The issue that contained the membership
survey would have had 13 less pages without it because I had nothing else to
publish at that time. As has been written many times on this BB, this is a
volunteer organization. If no one gets busy and does the work, then it won't
get done. That includes writing articles for the Journal and publishing the
Journal as well. I have been on the BB infrequently but most every time it has
been to request more articles for the Journal.

I am now working on the next issue and once again I need articles. Anyone?????
As was discussed in the survey, the Journal is one of our most valuable
assets. I am proud to be the Editor. But I need submissions from members to
keep it going. I cannot write the articles too. I don't have the time or the
expertise.

Hank - I'm not bashing you or anyone else. But that survey was NOT paid for by
AMSAT. So your dues were NOT spent on that effort. However, I was happy to
publish the results because they were most definitely relevant to AMSAT.
Thanks for being a member!!! And I sincerely mean that.

  MY 2cents worth.............  I was very unhappy when I received my latest
Journal last week.  I could not beleive my eyes finding 13 of 31 pages devoted
to AMSAT membership profiles.  How about a nice 13 page article describing how
good Eagle will be when launched.  I certainly won't contribute any money to
another membership profile.  I could care less how many people use dial-up vs
dsl.
