[amsat-bb] Snippets of Sputnik

I was 15 years old and skipped school and went to the transmitter building
of a local radio station where I worked part time. They had a Helicrafter
hooked to a long wire for listening to WWV for time checks. We tuned it up
and listened and marveled at the ping ping sound...
Boy, have we come a long way!!
