Re: AO-7 Mess Tonight
Hi,
What makes me saddened is, There have been lots of occasions
where I have heard absolutely no one other than myself on ao-7.
The bird is sick. She takes a lot of care not to FM or overload.
If current FCC regs were in place back when this bird was first put up
she'd be de-orbited by now. Lets count our blessings that the bird is
up and running at all even on borrowed time.
Let's also remember, it is a hobby, it is supposed to be fun.
Personally I find trying to copy SSB sigs in the noise that are still
badly FM'ing not much fun. To each their own. And lets face it, there
is no real "serious" communication on this bird. No one will die if we
fail to pass a grid square on an orbit.
