While making them into multi-stage water rockets, we have found
that if you pressureize them and then use a heat gun on them,
you can expand them slightly, or smooth out all the bottom
formations to a smooth surface. This would allow you to
1) Expand one slightly and cut off the top half
2) Cut the bottom off another (non expanded one)
Put allyour wires and cables through the mouth, turn
it upside down, put in the electronics and then the
expanded part fits over the other. A little tape
and you have a WX proof enclosure (with the hole
pointed down).
Or, if you use the heat gun with no pressure on
the top half after cutting, you can get it to
"shrink" a little bit so that an unexpanded "bottom"
will fit over it.
Oh well. I already talked too much about this one...
