The Fort Bend County Office of Emergency Management Radio Operator's Group
(EMROG) will be operating a special event station this Saturday, September 11,
2004 at the First Colony Mall in Sugar Land, Texas. A special call sign has
been
obtained - W9E (Whisky 9-11). Setup will begin at 8:00 AM with operations
scheduled
to start at 9:00 AM and conclude at 5:00 PM. They expect to make about
300-400 contacts,
mostly on the HF bands.
The group will attempt to operate on the 1605 UTC and 1744 UTC passes of AO-51.
