Talked with Monique...  They are going to have to work on my room for
the 6th but the rest of the days are on go.  Got my train tickets and
sent Martha my registration form...  Am I missing anything???

I made my reservations a week and a half ago, long
before I knew about Monique. I phoned the hotel directly
and asked for "Reservations". They put me through to
the main Crown Plaza reservations number, who
knew all about AMSAT and gave me the advertised
rate.

The real fun was booking my flight. Expedia.ca had
odd notions about connections (20 minutes at O'Hare?!),
so I opted for a direct flight from Seattle to Dulles. I'll drive down
and stash my car at SeaTac. The difference in fares between flying out
of Vancouver and flying out of Seattle will more than pay for parking at
SeaTac and Dulles-to-Arlington transportation.
