RE: Hotel Reservations

Houston, we have a problem.

I called the Crowne Plaza today to get my reservation setup. Apparently
Monique has left the building for today and they transferred me to the
Reservations folks. Thinking they might be able to help me out I went
along with it. The guy I talked with said that all the rooms in the
AMSAT block are already sold! I almost hyperventilated when he told me
how "cheap" he could sell a room!!! No where NEAR the $89/day!

I'm planning on calling Monique tomorrow and beg, but before I do I was
wondering know if anyone else had run into this problem! If I can't get
this worked out, there will be two hams in a tent out back... :)

After experiencing difficulty trying to make my reservation for the
AMSAT Space Symposium, I have found out the following: After calling
the number on your registration form for the Crowne Plaza, ask for
IN-HOUSE RESERVATIONS. Then, ask for Monique. That should help you
avoid any problems.
