Hello Chris,
 I have been recording just taking the audio from the radio straight to the
line in on the computer and it has been working fairly well. One thing I
would suggest is that before the satellite passes, you might want to record
something and get you line-in recording volume setup and your radio volume
set at normal operating listening level.
