Re: eagle costs



Here is what I do not understand.
If it proves out that ECHO(1) works and is still working after 1-2 years. 
WHY don't we build another identical ECHO(2), ECHO(3), etc.
It can only be much less expensive to build an exact copy of a sat that we 
know works. WHY do we need to have a totally NEW design everytime for the 
next satellite?

If EAGLE is built, launched and works I would plan on building another copy 
of Eagle for a launch 5-10 years later.
