I see. I think I remember what you have to do now. Try going into Wisp DDE
under Settings, and DDE Link. Click on Satellite Data. You will need to
enter the information for each satellite you want to work. Enter the name
of the satellite exactly as it appears in Nova. I'm not sure why this has
to be done - you would think that the DDE would be able to get the
information directly from Nova. The best I can guess is that Nova only
sends the name of the satellite and it's current Az/El. WispDDE then looks
up the frequencies you have entered for that satellite name and does the
doppler calculation. I don't know if that is really how it works, it is
just a guess. If anyone else is more experienced with this, please comment!
Another thing I had to do was in the radio setup, I deselected
"bi-directional interface". For some reason, when I had that selected, the
radio was sending its current active frequency back to WispDDE and did not
allow WispDDE to send any updates back. By deselecting "bi-directional",
WispDDE just sends the frequency info to the radio and ignores anything
coming back. Again, I'm not sure why this is going on, I just know it works
for me. If someone else knows more about the inner workings of WispDDE,
maybe they could shed a little light on the situation. ;-)
Hope that gets you a little further along!

Thanks A.J.
I got that far but for some reason the ulink and dlink frequencies
on my FT847 and WiSP DDE don't follow what's in the Frequency Display
in Nova. However, the frequencies change in WiSP DDE when I tune my VFO.
I do get the satellite listed correctly in the Satellite window
in WiSP DDE when it is visible in Nova.
Thanks,
Jon
