I think we need to get back to basics. Amateur Radio is for experimentation,
learning by doing, share with others in our quest for knowledge and a
occasionally make a contribution to the " State of the Radio Art" The word
elmering was and is a Amateur Radio contribution.

The paper chasing, jawing, contesting, and demand of equal time, private
repeaters etc.  was not part of Amateur Radio but came as baggage from our
other humanly pursuits that some of us brought here.

Most amateurs have been unselfish with both time and money to provide us
with what we now have. Yet a few hog and Jam, and not just on  satellites,
but it is their loss as they do not receive the help and encouragement that
leads to self development.

Through the chafe and the din on this BB rides the spirit of Amateur Radio.
The trick is to not get stuck in an eddy current!
