If we are going to try something lets see what a REAL QRP day would show on
AO51
ie no more than a handie (aka handheld/brick) with its whip antenna on the 2
metre uplink. No 25 watt mobiles. No fixed stations. No Arrows.
Obviously one would be at liberty to use a decent receive antenna if you
wish.
It might help if someone could doctor Jan King's link budget spreadsheet for
Ao51 to demonstrate just how low an erp is actually needed for access.
Finally - pls remember the S band transmitter is begging to be cranked up
for one of the experimenter's days - maybe the one on the 18th August even!
