AO51 FM Capture

I have seen a lot of debate about having a weak signal day on AO51. I think that what is being forgotten is that if everyone had a weaker signal, there would still not be an improvement in the ability to have more QSOs because if there were still 1000 transmitters with equal signal strength simultaneously hitting the AO51 receiver, there would still be no winner because there would be no FM capture.
The real solution is patience and good operating skills. The congestion will subside and we will eventually have a satellite better than UO14 that was great for low powered stations. I know, I made QSOs from inside a moving Amtrak train.
The CTCSS decoder definately adds a new wrinkle to be learned. I think that it is unnecessarily masking what could otherwise be usable downlink signals.
