What have others found when they had to free up an inoperable G5400B EL
rotor?
My G5400B EL rotor won't raise. Would anyone like to share their G5400B
repair experience with me?
The rotor is in the down position. When I apply UP power the rotor only
hums. I suspect rainwater intrusion in the bearings and they probably
seized. This is my first time dealing with this kind of problem. I suspect
I will have to disassemble it.
>From you experienced G5400B fixers are there any precautions?
How about a recommendation for a good grease to use to re-lube the bearings?
I would be willing to talk off the BB rather than start a thread. I would
appreciate some advice before I tear everything apart and make mistakes.
