Subject: [amsat-bb] Beta version of online pass prediction

I've posted a "beta" (preliminary) version of an online pass prediction
application on the AMSAT website. I'm sure there will be some changes
(like adding a feature to make future predictions, not just starting at the
present time) but it would be nice if you can compare the results and let
me know if there are any oddities. The program will not report any passes
where the maximum elevation is less than 1 degree.

Before you file a bug report (the proper way to report problems) please do
the following.

1) If you haven't updated your keps, please do.
2) If you have cookies disabled, please don't report a bug. We know that
your information isn't saved - please read the caveat on the first
page. However, your lat/log will persist for repeat requests.
3) We made the width small enough to print on even the most horrid
printers, but we didn't make a bland page for printing only. If you can't
print the listing in portrait mode and you think that's important please
file the bug and let us know why and what printer you are using.
4) Please remember this is preliminary and if it's really obvious please
wait for Beta 2.

The URL for the pass prediction is:

I want to thank Paul Williamson KB5MU for his invaluable help with bringing
this tool online, and thank John Magliacane, KD2BD for the use of the
Predict engine.

73,

Emily
