[amsat-bb] RE: USRP (Was New Satellite Ideas)

Bob,

I'll pick one up when I can afford one, It looks like a great project and 
although my programming skills are somewhat limited (haven't really touched 
anything other than perl, python, tcl & a little C/C+/C++ debugging at all 
since college) I'd love to get one to learn on and experiment with. I've 
been a supporter of Software Defined Radio for some time and every time 
it's been put up in front of the FCC I've tried to file comments. It seems 
to me that with some work the USRP could not only function as a receiver 
and/or transmitter but that it could also replace quite a bit of bench test 
equipment in the future. (Such as a spectrum analyzer, RF Source, IF 
Source, etc)
